UI refresh initiative for Pexels – a photo sharing site with over 10 million visitors every month.
This idea came to mind while using Pexels’ website to search for photos. As a daily user and contributor, I realized that there were some things that could be better for an overall user experience. Many updates such as the new grid system, as well as the new search/nav bar have been implemented by their development team. As they continue making updates, they reference my design as inspiration.
The initial designs included a new homepage and account/profile page. Major updates on the homepage included new hover over buttons designs for photos, a new grid system emphasizing the vertical photo sizes, and a new cleaner footer design. Some updates introduced on the profile page include a new layout for social media & statistics and a background image for that upper section.
